Who We Are

Who We Are

We are a community of people that love Jesus and love people. We believe that the Church is not the building we meet in, but the group of those who claim Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. We know that we are born with a sinful nature into a crazy, mixed-up world, but we believe that Jesus has the power to save us and turn our lives around. We are not perfect people, but we are striving each day to live a life that reflects our Creator.

What We Believe

We are Nazarene by denomination, which follows the traditions and teachings of John Wesley. We are an international body with church members all over the globe. The Doctrine of the Nazarene Church is governed by 16 articles of faith. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that God is a Triune God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit- three in one.) We believe that we were born sinners, but that we have the option to repent of our sins. We believe that there is a heaven as well as a hell. We believe that Jesus died on a cross for our sins so that we have the opportunity now to live in heaven if we accept that gift, allow God to live in us and change our hearts. We believe in two Sacraments: Baptism (which should happen soon after a person accepts the Lord) and The Lord's Supper (also known as Holy Communion.) We take communion once a month as a regular remembrance of what Christ did for us. We believe that we are called to serve those around us, as well as those across the world; hence, missions is important to our identity.

What to Expect

When you walk in the doors of our building, we pray you feel as though you are home. You will be greeted with a friendly face. There is no expected dress code. You will see people in jeans and tee shirts, and you will see others in suits and dresses. Please, come however you feel comfortable.

Our Sunday morning worship services adopt a variety of music. We currently sing from pre-recorded tracks and do a blend of contemporary music while still incorporating traditional hymns of the church.

Our preaching is solid teaching based directly on Scripture. Check out our Facebook Live page to see more of what you can expect with our sermons.

COVID-19 Precautions

We are currently taking all precautions for COVID-19 as set forth by the local health department and government.  All chairs are sanitized after each service. We ask anyone who may be feverish or otherwise feeling sick to stay home for their safety as well as the safety of others in attendance.
